About us

Gundagai Meat Processors (GMP) is a family-owned lamb processor and exporter, supplying customers across Australia and into around 70 international markets. Our Wodonga site handles cold storage and export logistics for the business. It's a small, close-knit team where everyone pitches in to make sure every part of the operation is covered.

About the role

This is a varied position split roughly as follows: Quality Assurance (50%): maintaining and supporting quality systems, monitoring HACCP and SQF compliance, and taking part in internal and external audits. Work Health & Safety (30%): supporting safe work practices across the site, including inspections, hazard reporting and safety documentation. Cold store support (20%): helping the coldstore team with day-to-day operations when needed.

About you

- HACCP and/or SQF training and working knowledge

- Understanding of quality systems

- Audit experience, both internal and external

- Computer literate in Word and Excel, and willing to learn warehousing and export systems

- Forklift licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one

- Experience in the meat industry is an advantage, but not essential
- A genuine team player with an outgoing, positive personality
