What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Relevant qualifications: A minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Ageing Support, Aged Care or a related field, or a relevant Nursing qualification.
- Relevant experience: Previous experience in disability support, aged care or in-home support is highly regarded.
- Assistive equipment experience: Practical experience supporting clients with mobility aids and assistive equipment, where required.
- A caring attitude: A genuine commitment to person-centred care, dignity, choice and independence.
- Robust communication skills: The ability to communicate professionally with clients, families and the wider care team.
- Reliability: A dependable, respectful and proactive approach to your work.

Your Role as a Support Worker





Depending on the participant's individual support plan, your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming.
- Supporting mobility, transfers and the safe use of assistive equipment.
- Providing medication assistance in accordance with training, authorisation and individual support plans.
- Assisting with household tasks, meal preparation and shopping.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting community access, appointments and social participation.
- Encouraging independence, choice and active participation in daily life.
- Following individual support plans, workplace procedures and relevant health and safety requirements.
