Quality Management Representative | Brendale

Downer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Management Representative to join our Asphalt & Products team in Brendale, QLD.

This is a great opportunity for a Graduate Engineer, laboratory or materials testing professional, or someone looking to build their experience in quality and civil construction. You'll work across a high volume of asphalt projects from Caboolture to the Gold Coast, providing quality, engineering and project support to our operational teams.

Working in a rapid-paced environment, you'll gain exposure to different projects and stakeholders while developing practical experience across quality assurance, construction materials, compliance and project delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support day-to-day quality assurance activities across multiple asphalt projects.
- Maintain project quality documentation, records and databases.
- Review test results and assist project teams with quality requirements.
- Assist with Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), including investigation, reporting and close-out.
- Support the preparation of Quality and Safety Plans.
- Assist with internal and external project audits.
- Work with asphalt laboratories and testing teams to coordinate quality requirements.
- Provide general project and contract administration support, including progress claims.
- Liaise with Project Engineers, Supervisors and operational teams across a range of projects.
- Support compliance with relevant specifications, NATA requirements and Downer quality systems.




- Contribute to a strong Zero Harm and safety-focused culture.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who is organised, eager to learn and comfortable working in a busy project setting. You don't need to be an experienced quality specialist to be considered.

Ideally, you will have:

- A degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline, including recent graduates.
- An interest in quality, road construction, asphalt, pavements or civil infrastructure.

- Experience or exposure to laboratory testing, construction materials, quality assurance or civil construction would be advantageous.

- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence working with documentation, systems and project records.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
- A willingness to learn about construction materials, testing and quality requirements.
- The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple smaller projects.
- Previous construction, civil or quality experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.
