Role Description This full-time Refrigeration Technician role is an in office position based in Carrum Downs, VIC. The technician will install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, including conducting diagnostic checks and identifying faults. Daily responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.

The role involves completing work orders, maintaining accurate service records, and communicating clearly with supervisors, project managers,



and customers about work performed and any required follow-up. The technician will also adhere to all safety regulations, company procedures, and industry standards while working independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve mechanical and refrigeration system faults.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Electricity, including basic electrical theory, safe work practices, and reading wiring diagrams.
- Candidates should possess hands-on HVAC experience, including installation, servicing, and optimization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in refrigeration, air conditioning, or HVAC (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience in commercial fit-out, refurbishment, or similar environments is beneficial.
- Current driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
- Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and clear communication skills when working with colleagues and clients.
