Remedial Massage Therapist Role

Pay Scale:

Full time: $75,000 to $85,000 plus Superannuation

Part time: Pro rata of the Full time rate

Contract: 60%

Hybrid Role: The role is hybrid, it is a combination on in-clinic and offsite clients. You have the freedom to manage your client list based on your availability.

Roles and Responsibilities

Clinical

- Perform remedial massage, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, trigger point therapy and other various massage techniques.




- Create a protected and relaxed environment where clients feel comfortable
- Provide tailored massage treatments to clients
- Ability to provide remedial, relaxation and sports massage to our clients
- In-depth client consultations to discuss the details surrounding the problemed areas.
- Walk the client through several movements to assess the extent of the injuries, joint mobility, muscle tension etc.
- Implement treatment techniques and pathways based on the outcome of the assessment patients and clients.
- Provide clients with a treatment plan outlining lifestyle changes they can implement, exercise etc.
- Collaborate with our allied health team for ultimate patient care and outcomes.
- Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions.
- Comply with all applicable standards, rules and regulations.

Qualifications/Experience

- Completed Diploma of Remedial Massage
- Have Association recognition eg membership with Massage and Myotherapy Australia or other remedial massage or myotherapy industry association.
- Registered or able to register with all Health Funds
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- Solid clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- A agile and flexible approach to time and caseload management
