We're looking for a sharp, technically strong Regulatory Content Lead to join our high-performing Education team at Financial Education Professionals (FEP).
FEP is a national specialist RTO delivering compliance, CPD and accredited training to the financial services sector, with a strong reputation for quality and building capability that lasts.
This is a full-time permanent position, and a rare opportunity to turn your financial services regulatory expertise into education that shapes how advisers, brokers and licensees across Australia stay compliant.
At FEP, our values drive everything we do. We ask our current team members to lead with conscience and accountability (Integrity First), be bold and execute brilliantly (Audacity with Discipline), design intentional, thoughtful and impactful learning experiences (Precision with Purpose), and own the results to make them count (Earn the Outcome).
If you can read a new ASIC regulatory guide and instantly see what it means for practitioners - and love explaining it clearly - we'd love to hear from you.
About The Role
As our Regulatory Content Lead, you'll be FEP's go-to expert on financial services regulation. You'll make sure every course, CPD module and learning resource we deliver is accurate and current, and you'll write FEP's weekly regulatory wrap - the trusted briefing that keeps our learners, licensees and corporate clients ahead of change.
Here’s a snapshot of what your day might involve:
- Monitor developments from ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC, Treasury, AFCA and industry bodies across advice, credit, insurance, superannuation and AML/CTF.
- Research and write FEP's weekly regulatory wrap, translating complex change into clear, practical actions for practitioners and licensees.
- Review courses,
CPD modules and assessments for technical accuracy and alignment with legislation and ASIC regulatory guides, including RG 146 and RG 105.
- Create and co-author education content, including modules, case studies, scenarios and assessment items.
- Maintain a regulatory change register and coordinate content updates with our Digital Learning Designer and Digital Learning Coordinator.
- Shape FEP's content strategy and development pipeline, identifying new topics and product opportunities driven by regulatory change and market developments.
- Partner with Marketing, Corporate Solutions and Sales to keep regulatory messaging consistent and to power FEP's thought leadership.
This is a high-impact role where your expertise directly protects consumers, strengthens the industry and builds FEP's reputation as a trusted voice in compliance education. You’ll Thrive at FEP If You Have…
- At least two years'
experience in Australian financial services in a compliance, regulatory, legal or technical advisory role.
- Deep working knowledge of the Corporations Act 2001, National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009, AML/CTF Act 2006 and relevant ASIC regulatory guides.
- A proven ability to translate complex legislation into clear, practical and engaging content.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience producing newsletters, technical articles or training content.
- Meticulous attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills - you can manage multiple reviews alongside a fixed weekly publishing deadline.
- A degree in Law, Commerce or Finance, and RG 146 qualifications or experience as an adviser, credit representative or compliance manager, are highly regarded.
Why You’ll Love Working at FEP
- 5 extra days of paid annual leave during the Christmas Closure (full-time employees).
- Employee benefits such as novated leases and access to Employment Hero Discounts and an Employee Assistance Program.
- Flexible work arrangements to support work/life balance.
- A national presence with the agility of a modern, innovative organisation.
- A values-led culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and impact.
- Access to ongoing professional development in financial services regulation, content strategy and learning design.
- A genuinely inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
