Chandler Macleod is partnering with a well-regarded contractor delivering Non‑Process Infrastructure (NPI) and camp/village installation works across WA. With multiple live tenders and upcoming mobilisations, we’re looking to bring on S26 Statutory Supervisors to support remote construction projects typically valued around $8M–$10M.
This is a site-first role—ideal for supervisors who enjoy being on the ground, leading crews and subcontractors, and driving safe delivery in a high-tempo remote environment.
The Opportunity
- Roster: Standard 2:1 (site-based)
- Start: Immediate for the right people
- Employment: Permanent preferred, but short-term hire considered
- Work type: NPI / camp expansions / modular & village installs and supporting mine infrastructure
- Client mix: Strong pipeline across Tier 1 Iron Ore (Pilbara), Gold (Goldfields/Northern Goldfields), Lithium, plus wind farms/BESS, and Rare Earths (Kimberley/NT)
Key ResponsibilitiesYou’ll step into a frontline leadership role with accountability for both statutory obligations and day-to-day delivery, including:
Statutory Supervision
- Perform duties as the Section 26 Statutory Supervisor under WA WHS (Mines) requirements
- Ensure works are delivered in line with site systems, legislative compliance, and safe work practices
- Support hazard identification, incident investigations, and corrective actions
Construction Supervision
- Supervise construction activities across multiple work fronts and subcontractors
- Coordinate labour/resources/equipment to meet project milestones
- Ensure works align to drawings, scope, quality requirements and schedule
Safety Leadership
- Lead a proactive safety culture (toolboxes, pre-starts, safety interactions)
- Review/approve JHAs, SWMS, permits as required
- Ensure teams are competent, trained, and authorised for the tasks being performed
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with client reps and site stakeholders
- Provide progress updates and contribute to reporting / coordination meetings
What we’re looking for
- Mandatory: Current S26 Statutory Supervisor qualification
- Proven supervision background across NPI / construction in remote mining environments
- Strong preference for contractor-side experience (e.g., camp/modular installation contractors)
- Confidence coordinating subcontractors and driving secure, productive delivery
- Comfortable spending a short period in the office pre‑mobilisation, then following the project to site
