The Opportunity:

Pacific Talent Partners has been exclusively retained to appoint a Sales Director for a market-leading manufacturer and distributor of essential infrastructure solutions. Recognised as a premier organisation within the electrical, residential construction, and building products sectors, this business is focused on delivering sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and increased market share across its residential and trade segments.

The Role:

The Sales Director is a crucial member of the Executive Leadership Team and will hold full strategic and operational accountability for the national sales organisation. You will serve as the primary commercial driver for the business, shaping the national sales strategy, managing key customer relationships, and leading pricing and sales capability to achieve ambitious top-line growth and market-share targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Develop and execute the national sales and commercial strategy aligned with business and Group objectives to identify market opportunities and drive profitable growth.
- Sales Performance & Growth: Lead national sales performance across the company's portfolio, establishing annual budgets, forecasts, and growth plans to drive revenue, margin, and customer retention.
- Customer & Key Account Leadership: Build and maintain robust executive-level relationships with major customers, wholesalers, distributors, and strategic partners while driving long-term key account development.
- Pricing & Commercial Governance: Lead pricing strategies and major commercial negotiations—including contracts, trading agreements, and rebates—to balance revenue growth, profitability, and commercial risk.
- National Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing national sales organisation, building capability through talent development,



succession planning, and performance management.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner collaboratively with Finance, Marketing, Product Management, and the Executive Leadership Team to optimise margins, develop go-to-market strategies, and strengthen customer-focused solutions.
- Market Development & Reporting: Maintain effective pipeline governance, provide the Executive Leadership Team with meaningful performance analysis, and identify emerging customer needs.

Core Competencies:

- Executive Sales Leadership: Significant sales leadership and commercial management experience, with a proven track record of delivering profitable growth, building high-performing teams, and developing future leaders.
- Customer & Market Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing key customers and strategic channel partnerships, with a background in the electrical, residential construction, or building products industry being highly desirable.
- Commercial & Analytical Acumen: Strong capability in sales strategy, forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning, paired with deep commercial acumen across pricing, margin management, and complex negotiations.
- Strategic Stakeholder Management: Exceptional strategic, analytical, communication, and influencing skills to navigate internal cross-functional relationships and represent the company with industry associations and regulatory bodies.
