Role Description This is a contract, remote role for a SAP HR Payroll Consultant based in Sydney. The consultant will configure, maintain, and optimize SAP HR and Payroll (PY) modules to support end-to-end payroll processing and HR operations. Day-to-day tasks include gathering business requirements, performing system analysis, designing solutions, and implementing changes in SAP HR and related MSS components.

The role involves supporting payroll runs, troubleshooting issues, conducting testing, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The consultant will collaborate with HR, finance, and IT stakeholders, provide user training and documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of HR and payroll processes.

Qualifications

- Strong Human Resources (HR)



and Human Capital Management experience, with the ability to interpret business rules and translate them into system configurations.
- Hands-on expertise in SAP HR and PY modules, including configuration, support, and integration with related SAP components.
- Experience with Mobile Switching Centre Server (MSS) or comparable SAP self-service and portal technologies to enable employee and manager self-service capabilities.
- Proven background in payroll processing, compliance, and reporting, ideally within complex or large-scale organisational environments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, HR, or a related discipline, or equivalent skilled experience.
- Previous consulting experience with SAP projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and production support, is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with Australian payroll legislation and HR practices in the region is an advantage.
