The organisation is continuing to invest in technology, platforms and digital capability to improve the way services are delivered to the Australian community The Role An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced SAP Systems Analyst to work within a complex enterprise ICT environment at an APS6-equivalent level.
You will focus on SAP CRM and SAP S/4HANA, translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications and supporting the design, configuration, implementation and ongoing improvement of business solutions. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business requirements, existing architectures and broader delivery objectives.
Initial contract: Up to 12 months
Extension: Potential extensions up to a maximum of 24 months
Locations: ACT, QLD or VIC capital cities
Work model: Hybrid following an initial 6-week onsite period
Security: Must be able to obtain a Baseline security clearance
Responsibilities
- Analyse and evaluate complex business processes and requirements
- Translate business requirements into SAP functional and system specifications
- Undertake system configuration to support agreed solutions
- Develop solution designs and implement solutions that meet business needs
- Create and maintain functional, technical and solution documentation
- Support daily operations and monitor solution performance
- Perform technical application assessments covering feasibility, effort, risk and benefits
- Support test planning, execution, coverage reviews and defect management
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver solutions
- Conduct peer and quality reviews across specifications, designs and testing documentation
- Manage the lifecycle of system changes and continuous improvements
- Resolve or escalate technical issues and recommend alternative approaches
- Contribute to delivery and support methodology improvements
- Provide guidance and feedback to team members as required
What we need from you
- Strong experience with SAP CRM and/or SAP S/4HANA
- Demonstrated Systems Analyst experience within complex ICT environments
- Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Strong solution design and system configuration capability
- Experience supporting implementation and enhancement of enterprise applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience producing high-quality solution and system documentation
- Understanding of testing, defect management and quality assurance activities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Previous Government or similar large-scale organisational experience
- Ability to work effectively with relevant policies, procedures, security and information-management requirements
- Ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance
