Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School is seeking an experienced and motivated Secondary Physical Education and Sport Teacher to commence in Term 1, 2027. This is a 0.8–1.0 FTE, 12-month fixed-term position, with the possibility of ongoing employment. You will deliver Physical Education and Sport across the Secondary School with skill and professionalism, while fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver Physical Education and Sport across the Secondary School
- Engage and inspire adolescents, encouraging confidence, participation and a positive relationship with physical activity
- Create an inclusive and supportive environment where all students feel capable, valued and motivated to participate
About you
- Current VIT registration
- A bus licence or willingness to obtain one
- The ability to engage and inspire adolescents
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment
- Robust organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues
- Experience in Steiner Education or an understanding of Steiner pedagogy would be an advantage, but is not essential
