About Role

You will play a key role in building and operating the next-generation Calypso platform, supporting the transition from traditional infrastructure to cloud-native and automated delivery practices. The team is driving strategic initiatives including Calypso cloud migration, Aurora PostgreSQL adoption, DevOps automation uplift, GitLab SaaS migration, observability enhancement, and platform modernization.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure supporting the Calypso platform and its associated services.
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab SaaS to streamline deployments across environments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks.
- Support the migration of Calypso workloads from on-premise infrastructure to AWS.
- Improve platform observability through logging, monitoring, alerting, OpenTelemetry, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Support Aurora PostgreSQL migration, environment configuration, database refreshes, and deployment automation.
- Manage secrets, certificates, access controls, and security configurations in line with enterprise standards.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues, while supporting releases, change management, and incident resolution.
- Contribute to DevOps standards, reusable deployment frameworks, operational documentation, and Calypso modernization initiatives, including containerization.

Skills & Experience

Must-have:

- Experience of 9+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS, particularly EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch,



Secrets Manager, and RDS/Aurora.
- Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments using GitLab SaaS.
- Solid knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Linux administration, and scripting with Python or Bash.
- Experience with financial services platforms, ideally Calypso, capital markets systems, clearing, or collateral management.
- Experience supporting business-critical production environments, ideally within highly regulated organizations.
- Good understanding of release management, change control, environment management, monitoring, and incident response.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, databases, infrastructure, and networking.
- Familiarity with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across Engineering, QA, Operations, Security, and Architecture teams.

Nice to have:

- Experience with Oracle-to-Aurora PostgreSQL migrations and database automation tools such as Liquibase.
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native deployment practices.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK.
- Understanding of financial services technology, exchange infrastructure, and regulatory requirements.
- Exposure to test automation, DevOps-led quality engineering, and ITIL processes.
- Experience contributing to large-scale cloud migration and platform modernization programs.
