Lead complex industrial projects from definition through construction, commissioning, and as required into operation.

This is a hands-on Senior Project Manager role for someone who can lead multidisciplinary engineering projects and stay close enough to the technology and delivery detail to make sound decisions and keep work moving. Calix is a lean organisation, so you'll be comfortable wearing several hats and stepping into gaps when needed.

Get hands-on. When work falls between roles, you'll help solve it rather than wait for someone else. That could mean working through a supplier issue, procurement package, schedule problem, construction interface, or steering decision.

Work across the lifecycle. Bring practical experience from early definition and engineering through procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, start-up and transition into operation.

Operate without a perfect playbook. Some projects involve evolving technical definition, new applications, and technology scale-up, so you will need to manage uncertainty and keep progress moving with imperfect information.

The work

Define and plan. Set clear objectives, scope, deliverables, interfaces, budgets, schedules, resources, risks and accountabilities; maintain the Project Execution Plan and project controls. Integrate engineering and delivery. Work with technical leads and engineering partners so design decisions support safe, practical procurement, construction, commissioning and operational outcomes.

Manage commercial delivery. Lead or support procurement, tendering,



contractor and supplier engagement, contracts, changes, expediting and performance.

Build, commission and hand over. Coordinate vendors, contractors and site teams, resolve issues and interfaces, drive commissioning readiness and support transition into an operating asset.

Lead stakeholders and decisions. Give customers, partners, project teams, and leadership transparent visibility of progress, risks and decisions, and drive actions to closure.

Protect safety and quality. Embed HSE, quality, technical assurance and active risk management throughout delivery, and apply lessons learned to future projects.

You'll report to the Chief Engineering & Projects Officer and travel to Calix offices, project sites, suppliers and partner locations as project requirements change.

About you

You're an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong track record delivering multidisciplinary engineering, capital or industrial projects. You combine project leadership with enough engineering fluency to work credibly with technical specialists and connect technical decisions to cost, schedule, risk, constructability, and operations. What will make you successful here:

Full lifecycle delivery. Demonstrated experience from early definition and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, and transition into operation.

Technical foundation. Engineering or related technical qualifications and experience that let you understand engineering discussions, challenge assumptions, and identify technical and interface risks.

Strong project controls. Practical command of scope, schedule, cost, risk, change, interfaces and critical-path management.

Commercial and contractor experience. Experience with EPC/EPCM partners, OEMs, consultants, contractors and suppliers, including procurement, contracts, variations,



and performance.

Leadership and judgement. Ability to create accountability across multidisciplinary teams, communicate from site level to senior leadership, and know when to get into the detail versus step back and lead.

Hands-on ownership. Willingness to take on work outside a conventional PM remit where that's what the project needs.

Desirable, not essential: experience with first-of-a-kind technology, demonstration plants, industrial technology scale-up, heavy industry, minerals processing, energy or process plants, and international project teams.

- Projects have clear execution strategies, baselines, risks, interfaces, decision paths and accountabilities.
- Engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning priorities are integrated, and the critical path is understood.
- Problems are surfaced early, owners and actions are clear, and technical, schedule, and commercial issues are actively driven to resolution.
- Leadership receives concise, decision-ready information, and clear recommendations.
- Lessons from delivery are captured and applied to future projects.
