Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Loan Settlements Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end settlement process for loans, ensuring all transactions comply with legal and regulatory requirements while maintaining excellent client service. You will also oversee compliance protocols, ensuring adherence to company policies, industry standards, and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Loan Settlements

- Manage the loan settlement process, including coordinating with brokers, lenders, and clients to ensure timely and accurate settlements.
- Review loan documentation to verify completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies.
- Ensure all settlement conditions are met before processing payments.
- Provide regular updates to brokers and clients regarding settlement progress.
- Maintain accurate records of settlement transactions and related communications.

Compliance
- Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies across loan processes.
- Conduct audits of settlement documentation to identify and rectify compliance gaps.
- Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and ensure procedures align with current standards.




- Develop and implement compliance checklists and processes for ongoing quality assurance.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on compliance-related matters.
- Prepare compliance reports for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Loan settlements, compliance, or a related role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of Australian lending practices and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., NCCP, ASIC guidelines).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/loan processing software.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
