Strategic Procurement Consultant

We’re partnering with an established civil infrastructure organisation running a cost out program. They need an experienced Strategic Procurement Consultant to join in an advisory capacity and help find and lock in savings quickly.

Target spend categories

- Bitumen, asphalt inputs and related transport

- Quarry products and aggregates, including haulage and cartage

- Fuel, lubricants and tyres

- Plant, equipment and truck hire (dry and wet hire, rate structures, utilisation) and fleet

- Specialist subcontract packages (traffic management, line marking, drainage, concrete, reinforcement) and subcontract labour

- Construction materials (steel, pipes, culverts, precast, geosynthetics) and consumables

What you’ll do

- Review spend,



rate structures and supplier data to find savings opportunities

- Build category strategies and savings cases for the leadership team

- Advise on supplier negotiations, consolidation, plant utilisation and demand management

- Help set up savings tracking and governance so results last

What you’ll bring

- A track record of delivering cost out or savings programs in civil construction, roads, quarrying or infrastructure

- Hands-on category knowledge across several of the categories above

- Confidence advising senior stakeholders and shaping decisions

- Availability to start now on a short, quick-paced contract
