About the role

This role is ideal for someone who is ready to grow and challenge themselves in their engineering career working on a diverse range of exciting projects. You will undertake detailed structural design and be responsible for the technical delivery of projects across the current energy, commercial, industrial, retail, and residential sectors. You will develop skills in business development including preparation of proposals, dealing with clients and stakeholders, coordinating with the design team, and managing the approvals process through DA and BA.

You will have the autonomy to pursue projects in a sector you are passionate about.

Key responsibilities

- Undertake detailed structural design and be responsible for the technical delivery of projects across the new energy, commercial, industrial, retail, and residential sectors

- Deal with clients and stakeholders

- Lead your own projects whilst having access to Chartered engineers for mentoring and assistance

About you

- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a structural engineer in the Australian market
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering and ideally qualified or working towards CPEng/RPEQ certification
- Technical ability and competency to design concrete and steel buildings, retaining walls and foundations
- Ability to interpret Geotechnical reports




- Experience using Australian standards
- Knowledge of SpaceGass, SLB, RCB, RAPT, AutoCAD and Bluebeam highly valued
- Exposure to a broad range of engineering issues and concepts
- Effective communicator and negotiator, with an ability to liaise with clients, colleagues, government agencies and management
- Takes initiative - considers a problem and proposes a solution
