This landmark program will modernise NSW's ticketing infrastructure and enhance the passenger experience across the public transport network for years to come. The ONG Account Based Ticketing program seeks to upgrade the existing gates, poles and bus validator infrastructure, integrate advanced back-office technologies, and significantly enhance user experience across various modes of NSW public transport.
This program is set to run over 13 years, with an initial design and build phase of 3 years through to the operation and maintenance phase which will continue for another 10 years.

The Test Environment Manager will serve as the central point of ownership for non-production environment operations, ensuring optimal performance, proactive issue resolution, and clear communication with stakeholders across technology and the business.

- Coordinating upgrades, patches, data refreshes, and configuration changes across environments.
- Technical Oversight & Interconnectivity
- Maintaining a deep understanding of application architecture, data flows, APIs, and system interdependencies.
- Working closely with operations, delivery, DevOps, infrastructure, and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
- Change Coordination & Governance
- Overseeing scheduling and tracking of all changes to non-production environments
- Ensure environment usage aligns with release cycles, testing requirements, and project timelines.
- DevOps, CI/CD & Lifecycle Alignment
- Working with DevOps and platform teams to optimise deployment pipelines and environment readiness.
- Ensuring environments support the software development lifecycle (SDLC), automation, and continuous integration/deployment practices.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Acting as the single point of contact for non-production environment-related queries, incidents, and planning.
- Reporting on environment status, incidents, changes, constraints, and risks clearly and proactively.
- Governance & Documentation
- Maintaining environment documentation, runbooks, configuration standards, and architecture references.
- Defining and enforcing workplace management policies, access controls, and operational procedures.
- Supporting audits, compliance requirements, and traceability of changes across environments.
