Williams Equipment Engineering is looking for a reliable Trade Assistant / Store Person to join our team in Torrington QLD 4350. You’ll support our workshop tradespeople, look after our stores, and help keep the workshop running smoothly and well stocked.
Responsibilities
Stores and parts
- Receive deliveries and put stock away correctly
- Monitor stock levels so each department has what it needs, and submit parts requests for replenishment
- Assist with stocktakes
- Collect parts from local suppliers as required
Workshop support
- Assist tradespeople with general tasks
- Operate machinery and power tools as required
- Clean, prepare and maintain the work site, tools and equipment
- Store tools and equipment safely
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements at all times
About the Role
- Full-time: Monday to Thursday,
6:00am – 4:00pm, and Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Physically demanding, including heavy lifting of stock
- A current driver licence is required
Skills and Experience
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with customers, suppliers and co-workers
- Good problem-solving skills
- Well organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow instructions and work independently
- Self-motivated, hardworking, punctual and reliable
- Comfortable using tools and carrying out physical work
