Hi, I’m Jeenita from Urgent Care Network Australia.

I’m looking for GPs who’d like to fly in and work at our Rockhampton Urgent Care center. If you enjoy fast-paced work and a change of scenery and want to make a real difference without overnight shifts, this could be a great fit.

How FIFO works

You choose when you come. Book a block of shifts that suits your schedule, fly in, and we’ll cover your flights and accommodation. Whether it’s a few days a month or regular trips, we’ll work around you.

So, what’s it like?

You’ll be part of Australia’s largest urgent care network, working alongside experienced nurses and strong clinical leaders who genuinely have your back. The systems are good, the team is team-oriented, and the setup lets you focus on what matters: looking after patients.

On any given shift, you might see:

- Acute illness and injury presentations
- Minor procedures and wound management
- Same-day urgent assessments
- Short-term acute care within a structured clinical framework

It’s satisfying work. You’re helping people when they need it most and taking pressure off the local ED at the same time.

Sound like you?

You’ll need

- FRACGP or FACRRM
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Current ALS certification
- ED, VMO or Urgent Care experience
- RACGP Indigenous Cultural Awareness and Cultural Safety training (or be happy to complete it before you start)
