About the Role WOW Recruitment are partnering with an established business in the HVAC and refrigeration industry, looking for a Warehouse & Counter Sales Support qualified to join their Townsville team.

This is a hands-on, varied position where warehouse operations are your primary focus, with the opportunity to assist customers and support counter sales when needed. From receiving and organising stock through to picking, packing and dispatching orders, you'll play an important role in keeping the branch running efficiently and ensuring customers receive the right products on time.

You'll also be a point of contact for customers visiting the trade counter, calling or emailing with product enquiries and orders. We're looking for someone reliable, organised and safety-conscious who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining a tidy warehouse and is happy to jump between warehouse duties and customer service.

Previous HVAC or refrigeration experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential. What's important is that you have solid warehouse experience, a current forklift licence and a positive, customer-oriented attitude.

What You’ll Be Doing

Warehouse & Inventory: Receive and check incoming stock against purchase orders,



organise and label inventory, maintain accurate stock records and assist with regular stocktakes.

Picking, Packing & Dispatch: Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring goods are handled safely and accurately to meet customer requirements.

Forklift & Warehouse Operations: Safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment as required, maintain high WHS standards and keep the warehouse organised and presentable.

Deliveries & Stock Movement: Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries, work with transport providers and ensure orders are processed and dispatched efficiently.

Counter Sales & Customer Service: Assist customers at the trade counter, over the phone and via email, responding to product enquiries and helping customers find the right parts and products.

Sales Support: Process customer orders, assist with quotations and follow-ups, communicate product availability and delivery timeframes, and identify opportunities to recommend additional products where appropriate.

Teamwork & Branch Support: Work closely with the wider team to support daily branch operations, contribute to a positive customer experience and help maintain a safe, efficient working environment.

You Will Have





- A current forklift licence and proven experience working in a warehouse environment essential .
- Experience with receiving, storing, picking, packing, dispatching and managing stock.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety, including safe manual handling and warehouse practices.
- A positive attitude, reliable work ethic and willingness to get hands-on with day-to-day tasks.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the confidence to assist customers face-to-face, over the phone and via email.

- Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A willingness to learn about technical products and develop your product knowledge.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to process orders and maintain accurate records.

- A team-oriented approach, with the flexibility to assist across warehouse and counter sales activities as required.

Experience in HVAC and refrigeration, automotive parts, plumbing or electrical supplies, industrial equipment, trade distribution or a similar product-based environment would be highly regarded. This role would suit someone who enjoys a practical, hands-on warehouse position but also has the communication skills to support customers and contribute to branch sales.
