ABOUT THE ROLE

Backam Group is currently seeking experienced Warehouse Storepersons with a steel industry background for ongoing opportunities across Southwest Sydney. These positions offer stable, ongoing work with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidates. We have both AM and PM shifts available with immediate starts.

Location: Southwest Sydney

Role: Warehouse Storeperson / Forklift Operator (Steel Industry)

Employment Type: Casual Ongoing (Temp to Perm)

Roster: Monday to Friday

Shifts Available: AM & PM Shift

Pay Rate: $36 - $39 per hour + Super + Overtime

Start Date: ASAP

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Loading and unloading steel products safely
- Operating counterbalance forklifts
- Operating overhead cranes to move steel materials
- Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders




- Receiving and checking incoming stock
- Stock control and inventory management
- Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse workplace
- Working closely with production and dispatch teams
- Adhering to all workplace health and safety procedures

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous warehouse/storeperson experience within the steel, metal, aluminium, or manufacturing industry
- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Experience handling long, heavy, or oversized steel products
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable transport and excellent attendance record
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Highly Desirable

- Overhead Crane Experience
- Previous experience in steel distribution, fabrication, machine operation, or manufacturing environments
