Lead and coordinate staff induction, onboarding and ongoing training programs.

Develop and implement practical training procedures, competency checklists and operational standards.

Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring and guidance to new and existing staff.

Work closely with barn leaders to promote consistency, accountability and best practices across barn operations.

Coordinate new starter competency assessments and two-week performance reviews.

Reinforce workplace health and safety, horse welfare, hygiene and biosecurity standards.

Conduct regular barn inspections, identify areas for improvement and follow up on corrective actions.

Support management in maintaining compliance, improving operational efficiency and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Ensure clear communication of workplace expectations, procedures and mandatory standards.

About You

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

Strong experience in thoroughbred racing, equine operations or a comparable animal-care environment.

Excellent horsemanship skills and a sound understanding of horse welfare, stable procedures and workplace safety.

Proven leadership,



staff training or supervisory experience.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently and constructively across all levels of the business.

A genuine passion for mentoring, coaching and developing others.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
