YMD United Pty Ltd (trading as Sushi Bar) operates a sushi bar at Westfield Chatswood, New South Wales. We prepare fresh sushi and Japanese-style food on site every day for takeaway and quick-service customers. Our team has been part of the sushi industry for many years, and we focus on fresh, consistent food and fast, friendly service.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our Westfield Chatswood store. This full-time position is responsible for staff management, rostering, training, stock and waste control, customer service and store performance. The role reports to the Director.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and manage weekly staff rosters to meet trading demand while controlling labour costs.
• Recruit and interview new staff, and onboard and train team members in food preparation, customer service and store procedures.
• Supervise daily store operations, set work priorities and manage staff performance.
• Resolve staff conflicts and workplace issues, and maintain a positive and productive team.
• Manage stock levels and inventory control, including regular stock checks, stock rotation and preparing stock orders.




• Monitor daily production quantities against sales and remaining stock to minimise waste and protect margins.
• Handle customer complaints and feedback, and maintain high customer service standards.
• Oversee cash handling and end-of-day sales reconciliation, and report on store performance to the Director.
• Ensure the store complies with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements. About You The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar management or supervisory role in retail or food service.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a retail or food-service management or supervisory role.
• Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business or Hospitality Management is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in rostering, staff training, stock control and handling customer complaints.
• Ability to lead a team in a busy, fast-paced store workplace.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
