Warehouse Leading Hand - Events & Installations Valiant is looking for a dependable Warehouse Leading Hand who enjoys physical work, knows their way around a warehouse and can help keep a crew organised.

Based in West Footscray, you'll work alongside the team to prepare, move, deliver and install furniture and equipment for events. You'll also help coordinate the people, vehicles and timing needed to get each job completed safely and efficiently.

You’ll need sound judgement, initiative and the confidence to take charge when required. Warehouse experience and a practical approach matter more than an events background.

What you’ll be doing

Preparing furniture and equipment for dispatch, checking quantities and job requirements

Loading and unloading vehicles and moving items safely

Working hands‑on with the crew during event installations and pack‑downs

Helping organise daily tasks, allocating work and keeping the team moving

Following floorplans and instructions to position furniture and equipment correctly

Coordinating deliveries, collections and venue access with the operations team

Resolving practical issues onsite and keeping relevant people informed

Maintaining safe work practices and taking care of stock, equipment and vehicles.

What you’ll bring

Experience in warehousing, dispatch, furniture deliveries, removals, installations or a similar physical role





A willingness to get on the tools and work alongside your team

The ability to safely lift and move items up to

20kg , using appropriate handling techniques and equipment

Common sense, reliability and the ability to think ahead

Confidence giving transparent instructions and helping others get the job done

Good organisation and clear communication with colleagues, clients and venue staff

A current driver’s licence.

Previous leading hand or team leadership experience will be valued, although we're also open to someone ready to step up. Please outline any MR or higher licence, LO picker licence and First Aid qualifications in your application.
