The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our team and support instrumentation, calibration and electrical works across a variety of mine sites.

The role will operate on a 7-on / 7-off roster, with both day and night shift opportunities available. You’ll work across various mine sites, providing hands-on support for instrument calibration, testing, fault finding, maintenance and commissioning activities.

You’ll work with a range of field instrumentation and electrical equipment, supporting our engineering team and clients to ensure plant and instrumentation systems operate safely, accurately and reliably.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- WA Electrical Licence

- Cert III or Cert IV in Instrumentation and Control or similar with experience in all process instrument calibrations, testing and commissioning.

- Ability to calibrate and troubleshoot transmitters, switches, control valves and field instrumentation.

- Experience with 4–20 mA, HART and analogue/digital instrumentation signals.

- Ability to interpret P&IDs;, loop diagrams, electrical schematics, datasheets and instrument schedules.

- Strong electrical and instrumentation fault-finding skills.

- Experience carrying out loop checks,



functional testing and commissioning activities.

- Ability to accurately complete calibration certificates, test sheets and supporting documentation.

- Flexibility to work day or night shift on a 7-on / 7-off roster across various mine sites.

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Previous mining or mineral processing experience.

- PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.

- Process control and industrial automation.

- Hazardous area instrumentation.

- Fixed plant maintenance and instrumentation.

- Shutdown and maintenance activities.

- Electrical installation, testing and commissioning.

What Will You Actually Do?

No two sites will be quite the same, but you can expect to:

- Calibrate field instrumentation – Perform scheduled and corrective calibration of pressure, temperature, level and flow instrumentation.

- Test and troubleshoot equipment – Diagnose instrumentation, electrical and control system faults across mining and processing equipment.

- Complete loop checks – Test field devices through to PLC, DCS or SCADA systems and verify correct operation.

- Support commissioning – Assist with installation verification, functional testing, commissioning and plant start-up activities.

- Work with control equipment – Test and calibrate transmitters, switches, control valves and associated instrumentation.

- Maintain quality records – Complete calibration certificates, test sheets, fault reports and commissioning documentation.

- Work across multiple mine sites – Support different client sites and operating environments as part of the 7-on / 7-off roster.

- Work directly with customers – Coordinate with site operators, maintainers, engineers and client representatives to safely deliver works.
