Maintenance Supervisor – Mechanical
Location: Harvey, South West WA
Salary: $130,000 + superannuation
Hours: 12-hour day shifts, 5:00am–5:00pm
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of maintenance tradespeople within a large-scale processing and manufacturing workplace in the South West of Western Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically trade-qualified professional with strong technical expertise and proven leadership experience to oversee maintenance operations, improve equipment reliability and drive a proactive safety culture.

You will play a key role in coordinating planned maintenance and breakdown response, developing your team and ensuring plant equipment operates safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, supervising and developing a team of Maintenance Technicians, Trades Assistants and Apprentices.
- Coordinating planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work across the site.
- Working closely with the Maintenance Planner to prioritise maintenance activities, allocate resources and minimise downtime.
- Diagnosing complex mechanical faults and implementing effective, long-term solutions.
- Leading root cause analysis and driving corrective and preventative actions.
- Ensuring maintenance work orders, safety documentation and records are accurately maintained within the CMMS.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with site procedures and relevant WHS requirements.
- Liaising with production and senior maintenance leadership to align operational priorities.




- Contributing to budget management, cost control, KPI performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identifying training needs and supporting the ongoing development of your team.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- A recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate.
- Significant post-trade experience in heavy industry, manufacturing or continuous processing environments.
- Experience in FMCG, ideally within food or red meat processing.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising maintenance teams.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance strategies and CMMS platforms such as MEX.
- A hands-on approach, with a focus on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
