Sands Fridge Lines is a leading provider of refrigerated distribution and cold storage services across Western Australia. Family owned and operated, we manage a large and diverse fleet together with extensive cold and dry storage facilities, servicing customers throughout the Perth metropolitan area and regional WA.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Freight Services Coordinator to support the coordination and management of freight movements across several major, high-volume customer accounts.

This is a key operational role requiring someone who understands transport, knows how to keep customers informed, and can work closely with operations to ensure freight is delivered efficiently and service expectations are consistently met.

About the Role

Reporting to the Major Account Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining solid relationships between Sands Fridge Lines and our major customers.

Working closely with customers, drivers, warehouse teams, supervisors and management, you will monitor freight movements, coordinate service requirements, resolve issues and ensure customers receive accurate and timely communication.

This role will suit someone who enjoys a rapid-paced transport environment, takes ownership of issues and knows the importance of following things through from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate and monitor freight volumes across several high-volume customer accounts.

- Monitor deliveries and provide customers with proactive ETA, delay and service updates.

- Work closely with drivers, warehouse loaders,



supervisors and site teams to ensure service departures remain on schedule.

- Respond to customer enquiries professionally and resolve freight and delivery issues promptly.

- Provide practical operational support when service issues or changes arise.

- Monitor customer service requirements and assist with KPI reporting and service performance.

- Ensure dispatch documentation and logistics paperwork are accurate and compliant, escalating discrepancies promptly.

- Manage customer telephone and email enquiries in line with agreed service standards.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and operational records.

- Identify and escalate changes to customer requirements or scope of work.

- Build robust relationships through consistent, reliable and professional communication.

- Represent Sands Fridge Lines positively and professionally at all times.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience in transport, freight, logistics or distribution.

- Demonstrated experience in a similar freight coordination, customer service or operational supervisory role.

- Strong geographical knowledge of regional Western Australia, which will be highly regarded.





- A strong customer service focus and commitment to supporting both external and internal customers.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- The ability to build effective relationships with customers, drivers, warehouse teams and operational stakeholders.

- Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills.

- The ability to remain organised and make practical decisions in a busy, time-sensitive transport environment.

- Strong attention to detail and sound numeracy skills.

- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and the ability to confidently use transport and operational systems.

- A practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving problems.

- A solid record of reliability and attendance.
