About Us

Frankie's Smokehouse is a busy restaurant in Woolloongabba, known for their traditional Texan style low n slow cooked meats. We’re growing, and we’re looking for two experienced Bar Managers to take ownership of our beverage program and help shape the next chapter of our venue.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves great drinks and loves bringing people along with them. You’ll have the freedom to put your stamp on our bar while working alongside a supportive management team. With two Bar Managers sharing the load, you’ll have a genuine partner to bounce ideas off and a roster that allows for a healthy work-life balance.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Managing the full beverage selection, including cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic options

- Creating new drinks and seasonal menus that excite our guests and drive sales

- Training, mentoring and upskilling our bar team to build confidence, consistency and product knowledge

- Training and educating our waiters and runners on the beverage selections and how they can upsell





- Use your knowledge of the drinks menu to help customers choose their drinks

- Managing stock control, ordering, supplier relationships and cost of goods

- Maintaining high standards of service, presentation and RSA compliance

- Contributing to rostering, team culture and the day-to-day running of the venue

About You

- Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager or Senior Bartender ready to step up

- Robust knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine and beer, with a creative approach to drink development

- A natural leader who enjoys teaching and developing others

- Organised, with a solid understanding of stock management and GP targets

- Current RSA certificate

- Availability to work nights, weekends and public holidays
