Production Kitchen Manager - Baking & Deli

Happy Larry Deli is growing, and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on Production Kitchen Manager to lead our central kitchen in Kingston.

Our Kingston kitchen is the backbone of our three locations, producing fresh focaccia, baked goods and key menu components daily, while also operating as a busy sandwich deli.

We're looking for someone who can balance production planning, team leadership and quality control with getting on the tools during service.

What you'll be doing

- Lead daily production of focaccia, bread, baked goods and other menu components for three locations.

- Plan production quantities, schedules and distribution.

- Prepare sandwiches, assist with daily prep and work alongside the team during busy Kingston service periods.

- Manage ordering, stock control, food costing, yields and waste.

- Maintain consistent recipes, presentation and food quality.

- Supervise, train and support kitchen staff.

- Ensure production and service run efficiently without compromising standards.

- Identify opportunities to improve processes and productivity.

What we're looking for





- Strong experience in commercial kitchens, ideally including bread or bakery production.

- Confident with dough preparation, baking and high-volume food production.

- Experience supervising and organising a small kitchen team.

- Good understanding of food costing, stock management and production planning.

- Comfortable jumping between production and fast-paced kitchen service.

- Organised, reliable and proactive, with excellent attention to detail.

- Someone who takes ownership and leads by example.
