Westrade is seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Wall & Floor Tiler to join our growing Perth team. This role is ideally suited to an experienced tiler with strong technical knowledge of waterproofing, screeding, substrate preparation and Australian Standards compliance. Working across residential renovation, maintenance and select commercial projects, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality work from preparation through to completion with minimal supervision.

Operating dedicated North and South of the River teams, Westrade provides a broad range of services including bathroom, kitchen and laundry renovations, insurance and rectification works, residential maintenance, and commercial property maintenance.

Our client base spans homeowners, property managers, strata managers, builders, insurers and commercial property owners, providing a diverse and consistent pipeline of work throughout the year.

Due to continued growth and a continual pipeline of renovation projects, we are seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Wall & Floor Tiler to join our team as our in-house tiling specialist.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and skilled tradesperson who can confidently take ownership of tiling projects and deliver outcomes on time with minimal supervision.

Essential Requirements

- Trade Qualified Wall & Floor Tiler

- Demonstrated experience running tiling projects independently

- Strong residential renovation experience

- Experience working across maintenance, remedial and refurbishment projects

- Current White Card





- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- Solid communication and customer service skills

- High attention to detail and professional presentation

- Comfortable working on jobs across Perth metropolitan area

- Can do area measurements and material quantity order lists for small to medium size tiling jobs

- Abides by and actively contributes to company safety, operating procedures and QA processes

- Mature, professional and able to be trusted to work hard and diligently unsupervised

- Can work independently but is a team player that adds to positive work culture

Technical Knowledge & Experience

The successful applicant must possess strong technical and practical knowledge of:

- Australian Standards relating to tiling and wet-area construction

- Waterproofing systems and compliance requirements

- Surface preparation and substrate assessment

- Floor screeding and fall creation

- Wet area construction principles

- Tile adhesive selection and installation systems

- Movement joints and expansion joint requirements

- Defect identification and rectification

- Large-format porcelain and feature tile installations

- Renovation sequencing and coordination with multiple trades

- Quality assurance and industry best-practice installation methods

- Preferably 5+ years as a qualified wall and floor tiler

The ability to identify issues before they become defects and consistently deliver compliant, high-quality workmanship is essential. Follows company safety and QA procedures and actively seeks to contribute to and improve them.
