Archies Footwear

Melbourne

About Archies Footwear Archies Footwear started with a simple idea: create a better pair of thongs by building genuine arch support into the casual footwear people already love. Today, our flip flops, slides and insoles are worn by customers in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe, the US, Canada and Asia, sold through our own online stores, retail partners, Amazon and TikTok Shop. We’re one of Australia’s fastest growing footwear brands, and we’re building the team and systems to keep up.

About the role
We're looking for an IT & Systems Administrator to look after the technology that keeps our people working securely and efficiently. You'll be the go-to person for IT across the business: setting up and supporting staff, managing devices and accounts, keeping our systems secure, and helping us build better IT foundations as we grow. This is a hands-on role based in our Melbourne office four days a week. You'll report to our Ecommerce & Technology Manager, who will support your development and work with you on the bigger IT and security decisions. Why this role is different
• Real ownership, early. You won't be one ticket-closer in a big IT team. You'll be the person who knows how everything fits together, and your work will be visible across the whole business.
• Build your skills. You’ll get hands-on exposure to network security, email authentication, the ACSC Essential Eight and AI governance, with a technical manager who’s invested in your development.
• Contemporary, cloud-first stack. Google Workspace, Mac and Windows, UniFi, Cloudflare and a wide range of SaaS tools.

No legacy server rooms to babysit.
• Shape how we use AI. We're actively adopting AI tools across the business, and you'll help assess them and make sure we use them safely. What you'll own
• Google Workspace: users, groups, shared drives, sharing policies, calendars and security settings, including 2-step verification
• Onboarding and offboarding: preparing laptops and access for new starters before day one, and making sure access is fully removed when people leave
• Access and passwords: maintaining our access register, supporting our password manager, and helping roll out single sign-on across our tools
• Devices: managing Mac and Windows devices through MDM, endpoint protection and updates, and handling lost or stolen devices
• Hardware and software: procuring equipment, keeping the asset register accurate, and tracking licences and renewals
• Office network: supporting our UniFi network, Wi-Fi, printers and shared devices
• Domains and DNS: managing our domain portfolio across multiple registrars, including renewals, ownership records and DNS changes, plus email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• AI tools: helping assess new AI tools and connectors, managing access,

and keeping our AI usage policy up to date
• Security and support: day-to-day IT support for staff, drafting IT policies, and helping run security awareness and phishing training You'll thrive here if you
• Have 2–3+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration
• Have hands-on experience administering Google Workspace (Microsoft 365 experience is also welcome if you're keen to learn Workspace)
• Are comfortable supporting both macOS and Windows users and devices
• Have experience with an MDM platform (such as Jamf, Kandji, Intune or Google endpoint management)
• Understand the basics of networking, MFA and security best practice
• Are organised and enjoy documenting things properly so others can follow them
• Can explain tech clearly to non-technical people, and do it with patience
• Take ownership of your work and see problems through to resolution Bonus points for:
• Experience with UniFi, Cloudflare, or DNS and email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Familiarity with the ACSC Essential Eight
• Experience with a business password manager such as LastPass or 1Password
• Interest in AI tools and how businesses can use them safely
• Certifications such as Google Workspace Administrator, CompTIA A+ or Security+

How to apply
Please apply with your CV and a short cover letter. In your cover letter, tell us about the IT environment you currently support (tools, number of users, devices) and one problem you've solved or a process you've improved that you're proud of.
