Millennium Technology Services (MTS) is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer / Resident Engineer for an additional customer-facing assignment in Sydney. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to support enterprise storage infrastructure, resolve complex technical issues and work closely with customer teams and technology vendors.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide onsite technical support and operational management for enterprise storage and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor storage health, performance, capacity and availability, recommending improvements where needed.
• Troubleshoot SAN/NAS connectivity, performance, replication and data availability issues.
• Support storage provisioning, configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations and technology refresh activities.
• Support backup, replication and disaster recovery operations, including recovery testing.
• Own technical incidents through resolution, coordinate vendor escalations and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Execute changes in accordance with customer change management procedures.
• Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, configuration records and capacity reports.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualisation, application and service delivery teams. Requirements




• At least 5 years of relevant enterprise storage or infrastructure engineering experience, with strong hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Practical experience with Pure Storage, NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE or comparable enterprise storage platforms.
• Sound understanding of SAN/NAS technologies, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS and SMB.
• Experience supporting storage in VMware vSphere and Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Knowledge of storage performance, capacity planning, snapshots, replication, backup and disaster recovery.
• Experience with incident, problem and change management processes.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers and vendors.
• Ability to take ownership of technical issues and work independently onsite.
• Existing Australian work rights covering the employment term. Added Advantages
• Experience with Pure Storage FlashArray, FlashBlade or Pure1.
• Experience with NetApp ONTAP, AFF/FAS, StorageGRID, SnapMirror or SnapCenter.
• Previous experience as a Resident Engineer, Storage Consultant, Technical Support Engineer or Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
• Relevant storage, VMware or ITIL certifications.
