General Manager – Premium Fitness, Wellness & Recovery Sydney Eastern Suburbs | Senior Leadership Opportunity We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead a premium fitness, wellness and recovery destination in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. This is an opportunity for a commercially astute, people-focused leader to oversee a multifaceted operation that brings together fitness, wellness, recovery and an exceptional customer experience. Working closely with senior leadership and a team of functional leads, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance, establishing a high-performing culture and ensuring all areas of the business operate cohesively. The roleAs General Manager, you will have overall accountability for the centre’s financial performance, day-to-day operations, people and culture, and customer experience.

Key responsibilities
include:
• Commercial performance: Own the overall P&L;, drive revenue and membership growth, manage operating costs and deliver sustainable profitability.
• Operational leadership: Ensure consistently high standards across daily operations, facilities, safety, compliance and service delivery.
• Leadership and culture: Lead, develop and hold your management team accountable for performance, while building a collaborative, service-led culture.
• Membership performance: Oversee the broader membership lifecycle, working with functional leads to improve acquisition, conversion, engagement and retention.
• Fitness and wellness integration: Ensure fitness, group exercise, wellness and recovery offerings work together as a compelling, integrated destination.

Establish service standards that build loyalty, strengthen community and differentiate the business.




• Business planning and reporting: Develop budgets, monitor KPIs and implement disciplined management processes to support continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder management: Build strong relationships with ownership, suppliers, partners and the wider community. About youYou are an accomplished senior operator who combines commercial discipline with strong people leadership. You understand how to lead managers, build accountability and translate business strategy into measurable results. You will ideally bring:
• Senior leadership experience in fitness, health clubs, wellness, hospitality or a comparable customer-facing business.
• A track record of managing a P&L;, budgets, revenue targets and operating costs.
• Experience leading managers or functional heads across multiple areas of an operation.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to identify and execute growth opportunities.
• A genuine commitment to customer experience, service excellence and member engagement.
• The ability to balance strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on leadership style. Experience launching a new facility, scaling a membership business or managing a premium, multi-service operation would be highly regarded.
