The setting combines large-scale technology delivery with complex development, security and service reliability requirements.

About the role
The EL1 Software Engineer will lead complex software development activities while providing technical direction across design, development, testing, release and production support. The position carries responsibility for software quality, maintainability and technical outcomes while working closely with stakeholders, delivery partners and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead software and technical design, analysis, development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance for complex solutions.
• Establish approaches that support high-quality, maintainable code while ensuring compliance with endorsed development, security and engineering standards.
• Lead releases, production support and the investigation and resolution of complex ICT and software issues.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, manage stakeholder relationships and contribute to project planning, risk management and delivery outcomes. Requirements
• Strong software engineering experience with demonstrated capability leading complex development activities and providing technical direction to engineering teams.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, release,



production support and maintenance.
• Technical capability relevant to SAP S/4HANA, UI5, ABAP, Angular and/or Node.js, with the ability to analyse complex technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Prior experience within government or a comparable large-scale organisation, with strong stakeholder management, technical communication and problem-solving capability. Mandatory Requirements
