The Opportunity We are looking for a motivated Pharmacist to join our NSW Central Coast Slade Pharmacy team on a full-time contract to cover maternity leave. In this role, you will be working shifts at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital and Gosford Private Hospital, which are located approximately 13 kilometres apart. This role is ideal for pharmacists looking to transition into hospital pharmacy, as well as experienced hospital pharmacists seeking a new environment and broader clinical exposure. This is an opportunity to further diversify your pharmacy career and gain unique skills working in specialised areas such as surgical, mental health, rehabilitation, geriatrics, infectious diseases and more.

About The Role
In this role, you'll work closely with doctors, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to optimise medication management and support positive patient outcomes. You'll gain exposure to a diverse range of clinical specialties while developing practical hospital pharmacy skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities
• Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
• Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
• Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
• Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees
• Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention,



drug selection and the proper use of medicines
• Review and completion of monthly reports Shift information This is a 12-month maximum-term contract role commencing in January 2027.
• North Gosford – Monday to Wednesday, 8.30am
- 4.30pm.
• Brisbane Waters – Thursday & Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm.
• No on-call commitments required. About You We're looking for pharmacists who bring a patient-centred approach, solid attention to detail, and the ability to communicate confidently with both patients and healthcare professionals. If you're currently working in community pharmacy and have been considering a move into hospital pharmacy, we'd love to hear from you. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to help you make a successful transition. Essential Requirements
• Australian working rights, valid for the duration of the contract term.
• General registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions on practice.
• Minimum 1 year’s Australian practice experience
• Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
• Ability to reliably work the rostered shifts across both hospital locations. Desirable Skills & Experience
