About the Role
The JBS Townsville Kitchen team are currently recruiting several new full-time Catering Assistants to support our busy staff cafeteria team. Reporting to the Catering Manager, our Catering Assistants deliver exceptional hospitality and customer service to our 400+ strong workforce.
• Full-time; Monday to Friday only; no weekend work
• Starting at $29.45 per hour + Super + Overtime (where possible) Your

key responsibilities
will include:
• Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of meals
• Receival and storage of stock
• Cleaning the food preparation areas, cooking equipment and utensils
• Ensuring the dining room is clean, tidy and presentable at all times
• Assisting with preparation for special events including morning teas, fundraising events, guest visitors and senior/executive meetings About You
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment advantageous
• Excellent customer service skills and a desire to always go above and beyond
• Ability and willingness to take direction from others
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
• Ability to work across a variety of shifts including late nights and early mornings. No weekend work
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
