Opportunity for a passionate & skilled Flexographic Printer to join a dynamic & growing company

QLM is looking for a passionate, skilled and motivated Flexographic Printer to join our team, located in the recent estate of Berrinba QLD (with easy access from the M2 Motorway in a new world-class, fully air-conditioned premises

To succeed in this role you will need:

- Certificate III in Printing or equilavent
- Previous Flexographic Printing experience - 2 years minimum
- Experience in the label industry preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor apprentices
- Be pro-active and work well in a team setting with minimal supervision with the ability to work under pressure

Reporting to the Print Team Leader your responsibilities will include:

- Printing of jobs using Flexographic printing machines in a timely and efficient manner with the ability to read and follow work ticket instructions
- Carry out work in accordance with company safety and quality processes and procedures
- Meet Production output KPI's
- Setting, adjusting and monitoring substrate-fed mechanisms, delivery mechanisms, inking systems and other printing machine functions
- Regulating paper and ink supply during the printing process
- Monitoring, evaluating and determining press operations manually and by computer to check print quality standards against proofs and detect malfunctions
- Producing a variety of quality printed products using flexographic printing presses, rotary dies and in-line finishing systems.
- Undertaking maintenance, adjustment, repair and cleaning of the printing press & general housekeeping
- Appetite for cross training on different machines
- Work with integrity and be a team player

Excellent Working Conditions:

- Full time:



40 hour week - Monday to Thursday weekly
- Rotating Shifts - 2 weeks turnaround
- Working Hours: Day Shift: 6.00am - 4.30pm
- Afternoon Shift: 4.25pm to 2.55am
- Paid daily 15minute tea break
- Annual Salary range: $$70,000 to $90,000
- Annual Salary review

Our printers are supported to reach KPI's with support from our press floor supervisor, technical manager, lean manufacturing tech, trade assistants and apprentices. Full training is provided.
