About the Role

We are a Brisbane-based transport and logistics company seeking an organised and reliable Fleet Operations Coordinator to join our office team.

You will help coordinate daily container transport activities, communicate with customers, terminals and drivers, and keep transport jobs running smoothly.

This role suits someone who communicates clearly, pays attention to detail and can manage competing priorities in a busy office. Previous transport or logistics experience is preferred, but training can be provided to applicants with suitable office experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate daily driver runs and vehicle allocations, working closely with the operations team.
- Coordinate container collections, deliveries and terminal bookings.
- Provide drivers with clear job instructions and timely updates about booking details, delivery requirements and schedule changes.
- Monitor transport progress through our operating system and available tracking tools.
- Communicate with customers, terminals and drivers to confirm arrangements and provide progress updates.
- Follow up on delays, booking changes and delivery issues, escalating matters to management when required.
- Assist with alternative arrangements when breakdowns or other disruptions affect scheduled jobs.
- Maintain accurate job details, transport status updates and operational records.
- Work closely with customer service and management to support daily operations.





Skills and Experience

- At least one year of full-time office experience in Australia.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin is essential for daily communication with customers and team members.
- Good computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow up on outstanding matters.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when entering and updating information.
- The ability to stay organised under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- A responsible attitude and willingness to learn.
- Legal work rights allowing full-time employment in Australia.

Experience in container transport, terminal operations, driver scheduling or fleet management software will be highly regarded, but is not essential. Training will be provided to suitable applicants who are new to the logistics industry.

Work Environment

This is an office-based role involving regular phone and email communication with drivers, customers and terminals. Daily priorities may change, so you will need to respond promptly, communicate clearly and work closely with the team.
