Casual | 38+ hours per week | October/November start

We’re looking for an experienced Marine Mechanic to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on and varied role suited to someone who enjoys both new vessel fit-outs and the problem-solving involved in servicing, diagnostics and repairs.

The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, with approximately 38+ hours per week expected and the potential for the role to develop as the business continues to grow.

THE ROLE

Your work will include a mix of:

- Mechanical fit-out of recent vessels
- Installation and commissioning of marine engines and associated systems
- General servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Mechanical repairs and component replacement
- Troubleshooting engine, fuel, cooling and related vessel systems
- Sea trials and testing where required

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in doing the job properly.

Ideally, you will have:





- Marine mechanical experience and/or a relevant trade qualification
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience servicing and repairing marine engines
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
- A current driver’s licence, ideally HR - MC

Experience with outboard engines, commercial vessels and new vessel fit-outs would be highly regarded.
