Junior Facilitator – Casual / Seasonal | Regional Queensland Expansion
BRICKS 4 KIDZ | Hervey Bay/Maryborough, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton & Mackay
Help us build something awesome in your community!
BRICKS 4 KIDZ delivers fun, hands-on LEGO® and STEM experiences for children aged 5–12. Our programs include school holiday workshops, educational school incursions, after-school programs, birthday parties and community events.
We're expanding our programs across regional Queensland and looking for enthusiastic, reliable people to join us as we establish our presence in new communities.
We're recruiting in:
- Hervey Bay and Maryborough
- Bundaberg
- Gladstone
- Rockhampton
- Mackay
This is an opportunity to get involved early and become part of the foundation of a local BRICKS 4 KIDZ team.
Please note: Work will initially be limited and dependent on confirmed bookings. We're building our local teams ahead of future growth, looking for people who are interested in starting with occasional shifts and developing alongside the business as more programs become available.
About the Role
Everyone starts as a Junior Facilitator, learning our programs and developing the skills required to deliver safe, engaging and high-quality experiences for children.
You'll help deliver LEGO®-based activities and educational programs, working alongside other team members as opportunities become available in your region.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children with LEGO® builds, challenges and creative activities.
- Encouraging participation, teamwork and positive behaviour.
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging workplace.
- Assisting with group supervision and activity management.
- Setting up, organising and packing down equipment and program spaces.
- Communicating professionally with children, parents, venue staff and colleagues.
- Following BRICKS 4 KIDZ procedures, safety requirements and child protection policies.
- Working collaboratively with the team to deliver quality programs in your local community.
Full training and induction are provided. Previous experience with LEGO® or teaching is not essential for entry-level positions.
Building Our Regional Teams
Our goal is to establish reliable local teams that can support the growth of BRICKS 4 KIDZ throughout regional Queensland.
Initially, opportunities may be occasional, particularly during school holiday periods and for confirmed school incursions, birthday parties and other events. As we establish relationships with local schools, OSHC services, venues and families, we aim to increase program availability and provide more opportunities for our team members.
We're particularly interested in people who want to develop with us over time, rather than those seeking guaranteed weekly hours immediately.
As the business grows, team members who demonstrate reliability, competency and initiative may have opportunities to progress into additional responsibilities.
Potential Progression Opportunities
Lead Facilitator
Team members aged 18 and over who demonstrate the required competency, reliability and leadership skills may progress into leading programs, supporting other facilitators and taking responsibility for program delivery.
Birthday Party Entertainer
Team members who develop strong communication, confidence and group-management skills may be considered to host LEGO® birthday parties and lead activities for children and their families.
Educational Program Facilitator
Team members with relevant experience, qualifications or demonstrated teaching skills may have opportunities to deliver structured educational programs and school incursions.
Progression depends on competency, training, suitability and business requirements. These are potential development pathways rather than guaranteed positions.
About You
We're looking for people who are:
- Friendly, enthusiastic and confident when interacting with children.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Patient, encouraging and willing to get involved.
- Comfortable following instructions and working as part of a team.
- Willing to learn, accept feedback and develop new skills.
- Interested in contributing to a growing local team.
- Comfortable with casual work that may initially involve limited shifts.
Previous experience in teaching, childcare, OSHC, tutoring, coaching, babysitting, camps, sport, youth work or similar environments is beneficial but not essential.
This opportunity could suit university or TAFE students, pre-service teachers, educators, childcare workers, coaches or anyone looking to gain experience in children's programs.
