About the Role

Brighton Baths is seeking a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist chefs with general kitchen duties, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, and help ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during service.

No advanced cooking skills are required. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitise kitchen benches, workstations and food preparation areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling and cutting vegetables.
- Receive, unpack and store deliveries as required.
- Dispose of rubbish and maintain clean waste areas.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
- Assist with general kitchen tasks during preparation and service.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.




- Support chefs and other kitchen staff with additional duties as required.

Skills and Requirements

- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to work in a rapid-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform general kitchen duties.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Previous kitchen hand experience preferred but not essential.
- Nighttime availability is preferred, including availability for evening restaurant service and weekend shifts as required.

Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour
