Redland Pharmaceuticals is a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Brendale, Queensland. We manufacture and pack pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, functional beverage and health products.

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of our manufacturing operations and lead the production team as the business continues to grow.

About the Role

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on management role requiring strong organisation, leadership and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with production staff, quality, warehouse, management and other areas of the business to ensure production runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day production operations.
- Plan production requirements and coordinate production schedules.
- Allocate labour, equipment and resources to meet production requirements.
- Lead, supervise and develop the production team.
- Set daily production priorities and ensure targets are achieved.
- Monitor production output, downtime, efficiency and workflow.
- Oversee manufacturing, filling, packing, labelling and associated production activities.
- Ensure Batch Manufacturing Records and production documentation are completed accurately.
- Ensure GMP, SOP, hygiene, food safety and workplace safety requirements are followed.
- Coordinate line changeovers, cleaning and production preparation.
- Identify bottlenecks, production problems and process improvements.
- Work with quality and management to investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular production reports.




- Monitor raw materials, work-in-progress, packaging materials and finished stock requirements.
- Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
- Develop a culture of accountability, quality, safety and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with suppliers and other departments where required.
- Ensure production activities are organised to support customer and business requirements.

About You

We are looking for a strong manufacturing leader who can take ownership of the production operation.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Production Supervisor or similar.
- Experience managing production teams.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with production documentation and quality systems.
- Strong understanding of GMP, SOPs, hygiene and workplace safety.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to management.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment.

Experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, beverage, FMCG or other regulated manufacturing environments will be highly regarded.

We want someone who will take ownership of production rather than simply oversee it.

You will be expected to identify problems, improve processes, develop your team and ensure the manufacturing operation is organised and productive.
