About Locavore
Locavore is a paddock-to-plate butchery and food producer in Byron Bay. We work with a network of local regenerative farmers and run production, retail and online sales. We’re a small, hands-on team and we’re growing.

The role
We’re after a casual production assistant to join our crew out the back at our Hive site. You’ll work alongside our butchers and packers, helping get quality product out the door each day. Your work will include:

- Slicing, mincing, bagging and vacuum-packing product
- Making schnitzels and rolling sliders
- Labelling, stock rotation and keeping the production area clean
- Following our food safety and hygiene procedures

Where it can lead
We’ll start you on casual shifts, with more hours available as you settle in. If you’re keen, there’s a real pathway into butchery, from sausage making through to primal breakdown.

What we’re looking for

- Reliable,



punctual and keen to learn
- Happy on your feet in a cool, rapid-paced environment
- A good eye for detail and pride in your work
- No experience needed, as full training is provided
- Kitchen, meat processing or warehouse experience is a bonus

To be considered, you must:

- Live locally (Northern Rivers / Byron Shire area)
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Have reliable transport to get to our Hive site
