JOB TITLE: Disability Support Worker

JOB DESCRIPTION: Community access

Support the participant to access the community

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:

Casual

REPORT TO:

Director/Business/Operations Manager

LOCATION: Deception Bay

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Providing care and support to clients in line with their personalized care plans, including:

- Social support/community access
- Transport
- Life skills development

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

- Cert III Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
- Current WWCC, Criminal Record Check and First Aid Certificate
- Drivers License
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Smart phone

EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum of a year experience
- Experience supporting People with ASD, intellectual disability and ADHD is a must.
- Demonstrated Continuing Professional Development.
- Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles

SKILLS:





- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Solid time management and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs and other computer systems for record keeping.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good working relationships.
- People's skill
- Caring and empathy skill

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $36.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Deception Bay QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (Required)
- Working with Children Check (Required)
- National Police Certificate (Required)
- Driver Licence (Required)
