Junior Facilitator – Casual / Seasonal Employment
BRICKS 4 KIDZ Queensland | Gympie, Sunshine Coast, North Brisbane & Redlands
Build. Create. Inspire. Have Fun!
BRICKS 4 KIDZ delivers engaging, hands-on LEGO® and STEM experiences for children aged 5–12. Our programs include school holiday workshops, vacation care incursions, school incursions, after-school programs, birthday parties and specialist robotics and educational activities.
We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and responsible people to join our growing Queensland team. Whether you're a high school or university student, pre-service teacher, educator, OSHC worker or someone who enjoys working with children, this is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in education, recreation and children's programs.
All new team members begin as Junior Facilitators, learning our programs and developing the skills required to deliver high-quality experiences. As you demonstrate competency and gain experience, opportunities may become available to progress into leadership or specialist roles.
About the Role
As a Junior Facilitator, you'll work alongside experienced team members to help deliver fun, safe and engaging programs for children.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children with LEGO® builds, challenges and creative activities.
- Encouraging participation, teamwork and positive behaviour.
- Helping maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
- Assisting with group supervision and activity management.
- Setting up, organising and packing down equipment and program spaces.
- Communicating professionally with children, parents, venue staff and colleagues.
- Following BRICKS 4 KIDZ program procedures, safety requirements and child protection policies.
- Working collaboratively with the team and taking direction from Lead Facilitators.
Full training and induction are provided. You don't need to be a LEGO® expert or have previous teaching experience to get started.
Career Progression and Specialist Opportunities
We encourage team members to develop their skills and take on additional responsibilities as they gain experience.
Depending on your competency, interests, qualifications and program requirements, opportunities may include:
Lead Facilitator
Team members aged 18 and over who demonstrate the required competency,
reliability and leadership skills may progress to leading programs, coordinating Junior Facilitators and taking responsibility for program delivery.
Birthday Party Entertainer
Team members who demonstrate confidence, enthusiasm, strong communication and group-management skills may have opportunities to host LEGO® birthday parties, lead games and activities, and manage party schedules.
Curriculum & Robotics Programs
Team members with relevant teaching experience, technical skills or specialist training may be considered for school incursions, robotics, coding and structured STEM education programs.
These are progression opportunities rather than separate entry-level positions. Each program type has its own training, competency and suitability requirements, and opportunities depend on operational demand.
About You
We're looking for people who are:
- Friendly, enthusiastic and confident when interacting with children.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Patient, encouraging and willing to get involved.
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Willing to learn current skills and take feedback on board.
- Professional in their communication and conduct.
- Interested in education, creativity, STEM or children's recreation.
Previous experience in teaching, childcare, OSHC, tutoring, coaching, babysitting, camps, sport, youth work or similar environments is beneficial but not essential for entry-level positions.
Experience in leadership, children's entertainment, robotics, coding or STEM education may support progression into specialist roles.
