We're a Mornington-based landscape company building and looking after gardens across the Mornington Peninsula. Our work spans high-end and medium-scale landscape construction, plus ongoing maintenance for clients who care about quality.

We keep the crew small on purpose: 3 to 5 people who back each other, take pride in the finish and actually enjoy coming to work. No big-company politics, just good people doing good work.

The role

We're looking for a highly experienced Landscape Lead Hand or Site Manager to run our sites day to day. You'll lead the crew on the ground, set the standard for quality and keep jobs on time and on budget.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be on the tools alongside the team, while also owning the plan, the client relationship on site and the final result. For the right person, there's real room to grow with the business.

What you'll do

- Lead and run landscape construction projects from set-out to handover
- Read and interpret landscape plans, levels and specifications
- Plan daily and weekly work, allocate tasks and keep the crew productive
- Deliver high-end finishes in paving, retaining walls, decking, steps, edging, irrigation, drainage and planting
- Operate and supervise machinery such as excavators, skid steers and tip trucks
- Order materials,



coordinate deliveries and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors
- Be the on-site point of contact for clients, keeping them informed and happy
- Train, mentor and support apprentices and junior crew members
- Oversee maintenance rounds and keep established gardens looking their best
- Keep sites safe, tidy and compliant with OH&S; requirements
- Spot problems early and solve them practically

About you

Essential

- 5+ years' experience in landscape construction, including time as a lead hand, foreman or site supervisor
- Proven track record on high-end residential or commercial projects
- Solid skills across hard and soft landscaping, with an eye for detail and finish
- Confident leading a small team and communicating with clients
- Current driver's licence (manual)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Reliable, organised and self-motivated

Highly regarded

- Certificate III or IV in Landscape Construction or Horticulture
- Machinery tickets or licences (excavator, skid steer)
- Plant knowledge suited to Peninsula conditions
- Experience quoting, scheduling or managing job budgets
- First Aid certificate

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
