Disability Support Worker – North Lakes & Kippa-Ring

Holistic Home Care is a registered NDIS provider delivering person-centred support to people with disability across Brisbane.

We are seeking experienced, reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting participants in North Lakes and Kippa-Ring.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide individualised support that promotes each participant's independence, choice, safety and wellbeing.

Duties may include:

- Personal care, mobility assistance and hoisting
- Community access, appointments and social activities
- Supporting participants with daily routines and health needs
- Meal preparation and household tasks
- Following individual support, health and behaviour support plans
- Completing accurate case notes and required documentation
- Monitoring and reporting changes in a participant's health or wellbeing

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card), or willingness to obtain
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to follow participant support plans and workplace procedures
- A reliable and professional approach to work
- Availability to work across a variety of shifts, including sleepovers

Desirable Traits & Experience

We are particularly interested in applicants who:

- Hold or are currently working towards a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability),



Community Services or another relevant qualification
- Have previous experience working in disability support, SIL, aged care or a similar setting
- Have experience with personal care, hoisting and complex support needs
- Are compassionate, patient and respectful
- Are confident communicators with good problem-solving skills
- Can take direction while using initiative appropriately
- Are observant and responsive to changes in a participant's needs or wellbeing
- Understand the importance of professional boundaries, privacy and confidentiality
- Are dependable, flexible and work well as part of a team

Pay: $34.00 – $37.00 per hour
