Bharosa Community Services is looking for experienced, reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
We are particularly seeking support workers who have completed medication assistance/administration training and hold a relevant certificate, with practical experience supporting NDIS participants with medication management.
Essential Requirements
- Current Medication Assistance/Administration Training Certificate and demonstrated competency
- Previous experience in disability support, preferably in SIL or community-based settings
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- First Aid and CPR certificates
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport
- Positive communication, documentation and medication safety awareness
- Availability for AM and PM shifts, with capacity to work 15+ hours per week
- Understand Client cultural sensitivity
Your Responsibilities
- Assist participants with prescribed medication in accordance with individual medication plans and organisational procedures
- Support personal care, daily living activities and community participation
- Participant really wants nice and tidy home environment
- Maintain accurate medication and progress records
- Recognise and report changes in participant wellbeing
- Promote participant dignity, choice, safety and independence
