Cali Press is a café brand known for fresh, wholesome, feel-valuable food, with 19+ cafés across NSW and our own production kitchen. We’re looking for experienced crew members and cooks to help lead high-volume kitchens at our cafés in Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, North Shore & Northen Beaches.

As a Senior Kitchen Team Member, you’ll be one of the most important people in the kitchen: keeping service running smoothly, holding the standard on every plate and coaching the team around you to be their best.

What you'll be doing

- Food preparation, cooking and plating our menu to spec during busy service
- Running sections and supporting the team through the peaks
- Coaching team members on the floor, giving feedback in the moment and helping them build speed and confidence
- Training new starters so every plate meets the same standard, every time
- Prep, stock rotation and ordering
- Keeping the commercial kitchen clean, safe and compliant with food safety standards

What we're looking for

- 1+ years’ experience in a fast-paced café, restaurant, food service or quick-service restaurant (QSR) kitchen, cooking and prepping from scratch
- Strong cooking skills, speed and consistency under pressure
- Confident knife work and prep
- A solid understanding of food safety (a Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or willingness to get one, is a plus)
- Someone who enjoys teaching, stays patient when it's busy and takes pride in seeing others improve
- A passion for fresh, healthy, quality produce
- Reliable, punctual and proud of your work
