Casual Home Care Workers – Certificate IV & Medication Competency

Pay: From $48.91 per hour, plus applicable penalty rates and allowances
Location: Cessnock

We are seeking experienced, compassionate and reliable Home Care Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to older people in their own homes.

Essential Requirements

- Completed Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalent relevant Certificate IV qualification.
- Official qualification transcript or Statement of Attainment clearly documenting completed medication competency units. Both the certificate and transcript are mandatory.
- Previous experience providing personal care to older people in home-care settings.
- Excellent communication skills, reliability and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and follow individual care plans.
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle where client travel is required.
- Ability to meet relevant aged-care worker screening requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist clients with personal care, hygiene,



mobility and daily living activities.
- Support clients to maintain independence, dignity and quality of life.
- Provide medication assistance or administration within approved competency, applicable laws and organisational policies.
- Monitor client wellbeing and report changes or concerns.
- Maintain accurate care documentation.
- Deliver compassionate, respectful and person-centred support.
